Cycling and mountainbiking

Serre Chevalier as a resort is a favourite spot for French cyclists, well-known for all its mountain passes: Col d'Izoard, Col du Lautaret, Col du Galibier andCol de Montgenèvre. Since 2008, the resort has been awarded a cycling designation by the FFC (French Cycling Federation). There are 120 km of marked mountainbike trails in a unique environment. For those hooked on adrenalin, mountainbiking courses in french alps is a must. The lifts in Chantemerle, Villeneuve or Monetier can be used by bikers throughout the summer.

White water sports

Rafting, canyoning, airboat, hydrospeed, kayaking: all these white water activities can be enjoyed in Serre Chevalier on the Guisane River, but there are also many other rivers in the Briançon area. Numerous water sports centres welcome you for family outings, or more challenging runs amongst friends.

Hiking

Situated near the Écrins National Park, Serre Chevalier offers a well-preserved natural environment to hikers, with rich and varied flora and fauna. An abundance of hiking trails is accessible from Serre Chevalier or Briançon, reaching surrounding mountain passes and peaks. The botanic trails in the Guisane Valley are ideal for family hikes in medium altitude, sheltered from the sun by larch trees and Sylvester pines.
